Should I delete Norton Anti Virus

I would like to use your service; I am limited on money and being 75 years old I'm really technically not with the computer world. If you have it simple enough for me to understand I will give it a try. I already have Norton Anti Virus. However, I'm not certain it is any good. I would like to complement you on having a readable code word, most are difficult to read.
