Step 1: Back Up Your Registry

Backing up your registry can be performed a number of ways. However, its easiest to use the System Protection options to make a restore point. Here's how:

1. Click the Start
2. Click the Control Panel
3. In the Control Panel menu, find System and Maintenance
4. Under System and Maintenance, choose Back Up Your Computer
5. Under Tasks, Choose Create a restore point or change settings.
6. Click Create and name your restore point.

2. Click Run
3. Type Regedit into the command line and press enter.
4. Click the arrow to the left of HKEY_CURRENT_USER to expand.
5. Expand in this order Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion

The task is to tweak your internet settings to open more connection in your browser. Internet Explorer is limited to 1. You should increase this to 8 to increase the speed of the browser.

1. Right click the right plane.
2. Click Edit and choose New.
3. Select DWORD Value
4. Name the value: MacConnectionsPerServer and press enter.
5. Double click the value, set the MaxConnectionPer1_0Server to 8.
6. Close the editor and reboot.
