When an antiviryus detects and removes a trojan is the file safe to open or not?

I was wondering when antivirus picks up a a trojan then asks to remove it which you do can you now open the file securely or it's not recommended and any traces of it should be try to be removed?

No the antivirus usually just quarantines the files. Kind of rendering it inactive. However clicking on and exe file will allow the file to install on your PC. If its just a check on a doc file or image file. it might be safe after your antivirus has certified it safe to access
