why has my computer crashed ?

I was browsing the internet and suddenly the page was not responding,it just crashed . The internet sign on buttom corner disappeared also the start button gone ,i then restart my laptop and there we have a crashed laptop ,i could use the word or most of the programmes but not the internet. eventhough i tried to view for wireless and could not find anything . I was looking at the device manager and found yellow exclamation on the pcI memory . Do u think its a virus attack as i dont have internet security? also the midle button of laptop doesnt work,i have to use the left and right buttons only.
